Accumix Concrete was engaged by Network Rail (Wales Route) to deliver, mix and place the concrete to repair issues with the Onibury level crossing on the A49 – a major trunk road connecting Leominster and Shrewsbury. During two out of hours visits, our team supplied 20m3 of C40 72-hour rapid setting concrete. Work was carried out using two volumetric vehicles and a 30-metre boom pump which was able to place the product exactly where it was required.
Accumix Concrete provided concrete for work on London Underground’s Metropolitan Line. The job was to install new drainage channels at two sites. All services were done during one weekend. The project involved cutting the track, removing the ballast, excavation, rebar and drainage pipe placement, shuttering and pouring rapid strength gain concrete to create the track bed. Deliveries had to be made to the central London location on an out of hours basis. All work was carried out within the planned engineering time. The line was reopened on schedule and with no further disruption to services.
